TOPIC: Don't We Have a Better Name for Our Properties

Re:Don't We Have a Better Name for Our Properties 2 years, 3 months ago #6650

referring to 10 mon't Kiara and 11 Mon't Kiara you mentioned, I believe that Sunrise named it as \"MK10\" and \"MK11\", this is really funny, a reputable developer trying to promote others developer's name.

Don't you think that Emkayland/MKLand is very happy as the developments seemed like theirs, MK10 by MKLand and MK11 by MKLand, Sunrise? or Sunset?

Besides, \"fonts type\" also started to be used, Sunway used \"Vivaldi\", later we may get \"century gothic\", \"D'Calibri\", \"the Arial\" as places to stay...hmm....

As far as I know, the local authority of the property have the final say to naming the project. The Developer submit a choice of 3 names for their project to the local authority of the particular development, and its up to the final say of the authority whether they want to approve the name of any one of the developer's choice or even disapprove all the names submitted. And the Developer has to resubmit again with other names.

I hope my reply help to answer your specific question.

thanks, Roger! You're truly our Roger!

I'm quite comprehend with your feedback to the topic, but the ground element is, does the relevant authority have the basic guideline/ benchmark/ regulations about the \"naming of the properties' development? I believe there's NONE!

The relevant authority may only approve or disapprove certain names following their mood swing that day, it's merely their personal likings which is quite unacceptable at my side. In addition, the developers also always try to have shortcuts of doing up their prep works, they will just submit those very common names that the authority has no way to reject rather than being genuinely involved and appealing for the name they wanted if being disapproved by the authority.

This is the culture and it's inevitably nonsense that we all have to take it. I would urge the local authority to openly list down the proper guidelines that the developer can follow than letting everybody living in the grey area. what says you all?

Vivaldi is a composer. Perhaps the next trend would be famous people.

Tiger Tower.
Cruise Condo.
Mahathir Megaplex.

Hmmm. Perhaps not.

Haha...i love Mahathir Megaplex!

But buildings named after famous people is nothing new, like Trump Tower, Haw Par Villa etc. I would say if they could name after authentic spices will be good, at least it smells good, i.e. D'Rempah, Clove Villas, Cinnamon Tower, Almond Residence, wa haha ! Lovely!
